Can we tokenise and store users cards?

Yes. We support multiple online merchants, including Opayo, WorldPay and Stripe. Stripe is the most feature rich system, supporting the capture of cards with 3DS checks and storing a token that can be used by your team to prove that the user is who they say they are, and to take auto payments and bidder deposits automatically.

Can payments be reconciled in our accounting platform (e.g., Xero)?

Absolutely — BidHarvest® offers ledger exports (invoice summary, VAT summary, vendor summary) and Xero integration for payment syncing, VAT reporting, and statement generation directly from the auction manager section in the back office.

Can Stripe Identity be applied selectively?

Yes — BidHarvest® comes with configuration options that allow you to choose where users are passed through the Strip Identity AML checks. At the point of registering for an account, registering to bid on their first auction, or when a bidding or selling threshold is approached or met.

Is AutoPay opt-in?

Yes. Users must agree to stored card payments and can revoke authorisation at any time. BidHarvest® is smart enough to know whether AutoPay is enabled or not at the point of processing user invoices. It can also limit the option for its activation based on the users shipping locale.

Do we need our own contracts with Stripe, Opayo, etc.?

Yes. You will set up your own business account with your chosen payment provider. They will provide us with an API key that we will use to link up all of the payment features with BidHarvest®. This ensures that your clients financial details are securely held with the 3rd party provider ensuring full PCI DSS compliance.

Can we limit certain payment types?

Yes. With BidHarvest® you can restrict payment by card to lower value transactions, ie £1,000 and automatically switch to bank transfer or open banking for higher value transactions.BidHarvest® also fully supports part payments against invoices, creating a reducing balance that shows in all of the financial reports and in the users my account section.
